TRIPLE-LAYER SINGLE PLANKS
- Total thickness: mm 15/21
- Thickness of hardwood: mm 4/6
- Width: mm 70/330
- Length: mm 1000/2500
- Type of fitting: glued/floating/nailed
Triple-layer single planks are composed of three bonded layers; the top or surface layer is a fine quality wood, 4/6 mm thick; the intermediate layer is composed of a soft-wood cross-ply, and the bottom layer may be composed of either the same wood as the surface, or alternatively, a lesser quality wood (the counterbalance layer varies according to the type of wood selected. The particular feature of the triple-layer version is that it can be glued to the sub-flooring or laid as floating floorboards. When fitting a floating floor, a fine foam underlay (generally 2-3 mm thick) is laid between the floor surface (screed) and the floorboards. In this way, the boards are positioned on the underlay and are glued along the tongue and groove joins only. Whatever laying technique is used, raw wood must be treated with a finish very rapidly. Sizes of the various formats vary according to the wood type selected. We produce other formats on request. The various layers are assembled using adhesives that are perfectly compliant with current UNI EN regulations controlling formaldehyde emission.
DOUBLE-LAYER SINGLE PLANKS
- Total thickness: mm 14/15
- Thickness of hardwood: mm 4
- Width: mm 140/235
- Length: mm 1200/2000
- Type of fitting: with adhesive
The double-layer single boards are composed of a 4 mm oak surface layer and an underlying 11/12 mm phenolic, multi-layer birch cross-ply. This structure permits the possibility of laying much larger floorboards, guaranteeing good board flexibility and easy assembly.
MINI PLANK
- Total thickness: mm 10/14
- Thickness of hardwood: mm 4
- Width: mm 120/140
- Length: mm 900/1500
- Type of fitting: with adhesive
Flooring with mini planks is composed of one surface layer in fine quality wood with a nominal thickness of 4 mm and an bottom layer in phenolic birch plywood with a thickness of 6 mm, which is in turn made up of several layers of cross-ply. Mini planks must be glued to the sub-flooring. It is supplied raw and must be treated with the surface finish very rapidly. Sizes of the various formats vary according to the wood type selected. We produce other formats on request.
SOLID WOOD PLANKS
- Total thickness: mm 14/22
- Width: mm 120/200
- Length: mm 500/2400
- Type of fitting: glued/nailed
Solid wood planks retain their charm over time. In the Pontevecchio range, the particular details and the possibility to fit pre-finished planks, combines ease of installation and the typical practical aspects of layered planks with the robustness and durability of solid wood. We produce several formats with thicknesses between 14mm and 22mm; naturally, the greater the thickness the greater the length and width. The planks with a thickness of 14mm need to be glued while those with a thickness of 22mm have to be nailed. Slight differences in width and thickness should not be considered a defect as this product is handcrafted. Whatever laying technique is used, raw wood must be treated with a finish very rapidly. Sizes of the various formats vary according to the wood type selected. We produce other formats on request.
